Why have I prescribed CORESHORTS? CORESHORTS have demonstrated to be a beneficial tool in supporting a movement retraining program following low back, pelvic or hip dysfunction. The CORESHORTS are not only supportive, they help to motivate change. The cool piece was how they work to influence people's Virtual Schema - i.e. when you have released a number of things and the potential there for them to not be "twisted" or rotated in the transverse plane in their pelvis yet this is where their "brain still felt home was".  When they put on a brand new pair of CORESHORTS, the unique construction of the anterior and posterior oblique slings of elastic would immediately provide the appropriate sensory input that they were standing twisted.  The shorts literally taught them where "center" was and if they paid attention to what the shorts were "telling them" they would quickly learn and re-wire their brain maps for a neutral pelvic posture for tasks that require neutral (Standing, squats, sitting i.e. anything sagittal).  You can tell somebody to "not do that" but what is more convincing is to feel why and know how to change - the CORESHORTS are not only supportive, they help to motivate change.

The current CORESHORTS are so much better than previous models as fit is so much better. They work well to stablize the pelvis with Osteitis Pubis and adductor strain and origin tendonopathy at the inferior Pubis rami often with micro tears that can be stabilize after ultrasound guided injections. Similar help with sport hernias to improve core strength and allow the sport hernia to heal. I recommend the new version of the CORESHORTS.

I have had the opportunity to work as a Lead Team therapist for Canada Baseball and Soccer and have had great success in providing my players CORESHORTS to help in their recovery of hip and groin injuries. I recommend the 3.0 to support a rehab program and then reduce the support to the 2.0 for return to play. CORESHORTS are easy and the players love them. No other short performs like them, they are ideal for any athlete for injury prevention and recovery.

CORESHORTS are one of my first implements in the rehab and recovery of hip or groin injuries. They provide athletes enhanced proprioceptive input and help offset excessive loading to the groin, to which we are looking to restrict. The product quality is high, and I know exactly what I am getting.

I have found the CORESHORTS to be very effective and anatomically correct. They provide compression similar to a sacro-iliac joint belt to improve pelvic stability and also provide functional stability and motion control to the hips and legs. Therapists must treat the low back, pelvis and hip as a functional complex and CORESHORTS is the only stabilization system that improves all three areas. CORESHORTS has been effective in assisting clients with L 4/5 and L5/S1 stabilization (disc injuries), sacro-iliac joint sprains, osteitis pubis and hip sprains. CORESHORTS provide the best stabilization support system for the pelvis to assist in a safer early return to work and functional activities. They are much more effective and user friendly than a sacro-iliac joint belt during return to function. They can be worn for any activities.

I have found CORESHORTS to be an excellent support system for patients recovering from low back, pelvic and hip injuries. I have recommended them with great success to assist in core insufficiencies including post partum, groin injury, total hip replacement and low back pain. They help my treatment but more importantly they help my patients.

Dr. R.C. Sweeting

Orthopaedic Surgeon

I am an Orthopaedic surgeon with many years of experience in the treatment and assessment of various orthopaedic conditions. A special interest of mine has been manual musculoskeletal testing and the non surgical treatment of low back and pelvic conditions. Prior to retiring my focus was on the treatment of ligamentous laxities with prolotherapy which has been particularly helpful in resolving non surgical pelvic instabilities. I have found the compression and “X” design of CORESHORTS to be extremely beneficial in controlling pelvic alignment due to ligament laxity in my patients. CORESHORTS helped to improve stability and function for activities of daily living and work related tasks. Overall, they became an important support system during recovery and the rehabilitation process for many of my clients.
